Supplement requirement is reduced by up to 45% less than trail feeding every second day to achieve the same production goals. Usually, livestock feed until they become bored or their tongue tires. Advantage Feeders require sheep to use their saliva-coated tongue to pickeup feed - meaning they can only feed until they run out of saliva, and will not gorge themselves.
If 10 tonnes of feed is fed through a feeder in a year at $300/tonne, savings can total up to $300/feeder each year!

Creep feeding a controlled amount of concentrated feed helps allow weaning at the youngest possible age without compromising lamb growth rates. Depending on the season, using Advantage Feeders can increase your lambing percentage by upwards of 5%.

When mothers and offspring are fed together, the mothers often muscle the young out of the way. Fortunately, Advantage Feeders feature access on both sides of the feeder. Both sides can be independently set so that ewes can be fed a small ration on one side and lambs are fed an ad-lib ration on the other.

As ewes and lambs have very different size heads, the Advantage Feeders Creep Panel design employs their skull size to exclude one group and ensure the other does not get stuck. And, as stock can only feed until they run out of saliva, there will be less crowding around the feeder meaning less bullying or trampling related injuries.

Depending on the ration allocated, the feeders may only require filling as little as every couple of months! This is a huge time saver.
